David Novak, chairman and chief chairman of the board of Louisville, Ky.-based Yum! Brands Inc., oversees a system of more than 38,000 restaurants that rang up less $10 billion in sales in 2010, but he sees another big number as the key to his entourage’s success: 1.4 million, the number of Yum employees. A convention as large and diverse as Yum only achieves operational know-how through developing and connecting with its people, Novak said.


Novak has preached this rationalism for 14 years in his leadership program, “Taking People with You,” and earlier this month, he published a earmark by the same name. He has taught the program, which is built around recognizing employees and developing their talents, across Yum’s worldwide system, most recently in China, Germany and at a conclave of KFC’s domestic franchisees.

Del Monte Pasta Italiana

Of all the townsperson brands of Pasta I have only one stamp to group. It is Del Monte Pasta Italiana. I have tried many other municipal brands but I always go back to Del Monte. I could tip how a cheaper marque that costs only PHP50 per kilo spoiled my Spaghetti. I have overcooked it by some few minutes and it almost melted. And even if my spaghetti sauciness was ideal, it could not be appreciated because of the bad pasta. I had to ask my son to buy new pasta and send forth away that economical pasta that tasted fitting as reasonably too. I’ve lettered that in Spaghetti, it is not nothing but about palatable and flawlessly impure disrespect but also extravagant eminence pasta which is impeccably al dente.
