Sourdough - Part 1
My research began sourdough! I ordered a batch of sourdough starter Old dehydrated, as Gina's blog HomeJoys had. She said she had done many failures and several sourdough starters, but finally had it with stars! A spray dried starter? I know, sounds strange. Even more crazy when it happens. Sourdough Sucess!
In the heretofore several years, I have tried four times to start my own sourdough starter - to nick some middle of nowhere yeast to put to line in making bread. I've knowledgeable a lot but mostly I've made a lot of bread that was fit for nothing but croutons or bread crumbs! My rout results, by far, was with Peter Reinhart's modus operandi in his newest work. That starter in point of fact worked but it was very cautiously and the results with 100% whole wheat bread were not so basic. I over if I would have continued to use it, it may have gained intrepidity and when all is said become a chaste starter. I've considered buying a starter but never did.
