Dry Pet Food Dye Carpet Stains?

Question: I had to put by esteemed Krusty(cat)to sleep yesterday.Dry pet food would go rite thru him@he would vomit all over the carpets.I cannot get up the yellow dye stains from the stainless carpet.Am at my wits end have tried everything short of renting a rug doctor.Any suggestions
