My elfin monkey used to be such an agreeable eater.
At four months, even though I read you should rest period until six months, my daughter eagerly took rice cereal. She just adored the drippy essence.
Then there was our adventure with actual baby food. A couple of times I made it myself, but I did rely heavily on talented ol’ Gerber Baby, as I had opened up my store when she was seven months old and well, I had gracious intentions anyway. At least I got the organic, no sugar added brand!
The monkey loved everything — even the prog I felt bad about giving her, like squash and beets. She was a ravenous eater.
Then came the trifling solids like Cheerios and baby cookies. Then all of a sudden she was into full meals.
She ate everything. The more intelligent half and I bragged about our daughters eating skills.
She would polish off an intact bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. Or barbecue chicken and corn on the cob. Or salmon and asparagus. It made me altogether the confident cook. The monkey loved it all.
