Most people have a hot dog stand (or HDJ) that they call retreat. As a daughter, mine was Fort Wayne’s Noted Coney Atoll . I’ve grown up though, moved away from well-informed in and found myself living in the dismount of gloomy laws and comical accents. Massachusetts is where I call dwelling-place but there’s a circumscribed tracking down where I get that unpleasant foggy that means I’ve arrived–Fred’s Franks.
If you haven’t been to Fred’s website you might not have seen the video from Vendr.tv, which reviews roadway eats (or, my preferred word: road meats). I deliberation I knew all there was about Fred’s before seeing this, but it introduced me to a new series of toppings, which I was fixed to try out. So I solid to try the gentle fireball: a troll, 1/2 lb. Wonder hot dog topped (or bottomed, as I affix my toppings–or bottomings? oh man, I’ll stopover there) with great relish, onions, habanaise, and a scanty bit of ketchup. I had initially misremembered the toppings and put on some keen on cabbage, and because I didn’t add much habanaise it didn’t appear out as aglow as it should have–much more of the over showed up. My last chew was very likely the way it should have tasted, because the habanaise punched my tastebuds and made my eyes ring false; I coughed a few times and then the sweetness took me back in its loving accept.
