We started off with Porto Bello's charitable portion of fried green beans ($7.50). They were quite elevated. In fact Deborah, who thought she wouldn’t like them, loved them.
With such a munificent selection, we all took a portion of the dinner menu and made our choices.
Deborah went with the chicken marsala ($14.95). Served over pasta, there was tons of chicken and she said it had good flavor. She did, however, wish there was more sauce with the dish.
Tim chose the shrimp scampi ($16.95). Served over linguini, he was enchant with his meal. It included eight large shrimp with the tail on, and Tim loved how the flavors were so well balanced — not overpowered by lemon or garlic. He recommends this if you are a scampi fan.
Debbie had the lobster and crab ravioli ($16.95). These are the open-handed overstuffed ravioli served with a spicy vodka sauce. The surprise with this dish was the pungency in the vodka sauce. It had a good flavor, but did take a bit away from the flavor of the lobster and crab.
